The journalist hinted several times in his speeches that he want to start his own business as an Independent media company. Arnab said in the News Minute –My venture is called ‘Republic’; I seek the support of the people of India.

Speaking the 10th anniversary of IEEMA  Arnab said, the news channel  “Republic”  will start broadcasting on 26 Jan, the eve of Republic Day

In his Farewell presentations to employees at Times Now went viral, he had even teased that he is far from done with journalism and anchoring, and has been preparing his incursion into independent media channel it is going to thrive. The game has just begun, were his words. He had also included that his news venture to provide dreadful competitors to BBC and CNN.
