Baidyanath Dham Details, Address, Toll Free Number, Contact: This Jyotirlinga temple is well popular as BaBa Baidyanath Dham. It is one of the Jyotirlingas, the holiest abodes of  Lord Shiva. It is located in Deoghar in the Santhal Parganas, the state of Jharkhand, India. This temple consisting of the main temple of Baba Baidyanath, where the Jyotirlinga is set up, and 21 other temples. It believes that Ravana used to come to this place every day and worship the lingam by offering water from the Ganges. Historically the temple is dated to 1596 when a hunter Baiju, discovered the lost lingam. Since then this place came to be known as Baidyanath and people call it Kamma Lingam – the desire fulfilling lingam. Kamana Ling is situated 1km from the Deoghar railway station.

Every year, millions of devotees visit Baidyanath Jyotirlinga to pay their homage to Lord Shiva. Baidyanath Dham is famous for its ‘Sharavvan Mela’ that is organized in the month of July-August.  During the fair, around 7 to 8 million devotees gathered the holy Ganges water from Sultangunj and visit the temple to offer it to the deity

The worshipping of Baidyanath Jyotirlingam begins at 4 AM The temple doors open at this time. The Head priest worships with Shodashopachar. Then the devotees start worship of the lingam. Baidyanath Dham is opened all week of a month. There have no any charges
