Documents Required For Online Pan Card Application

A proof of identity, Address proof and date of birth, along with a scanned 2 passport sized photograph. A scan of any one document per section, for each section-

  • Aadhaar Card
  • Elector’s photo identity card
  • Passport
  • Driving licence
  • Ration card having photograph of the applicant
  • Arms license
  • Latest property tax assessment order
  • Domicile certificate issued by the government
  • Property registration
  • Certificate of address in original signed by a Gazetted officer
  • Photo identity card issued by the Central Government or State Government undertaking you need to upload several documents to the PAN Services Unit website.

Online Application For New PAN Card

Form 49A needs to be filled by applicants who are going apply for a new PAN

Step 1– Fill up the online form49A hosted on the NSDL or UTIITSL website

Step 2– Then select a payment method at the end of the form. The PAN card application fee is Rs.107, but additional bank charges may apply on the payment method. (outside India, the fee is Rs. 971.) You can pay through credit/debit card or net banking.

Step 3– Review all the details in your form and enter the captcha code, then click Confirm.

Step 4– You see a page with payment terms and conditions. Note down the transaction number at the top of the page and click Agree.

Step 5– And Complete the payment.

Step 6– Now see the acknowledgment form and 15-digit acknowledgment number. Print this page.

Step 7– Paste the two photographs on the printout of the acknowledgment and sign in the box on the acknowledgment form.

Step 8-Put this form, On the envelope, write APPLICATION FOR PAN – ____. Fill 15-digit acknowledgment number in the blank.

Step 9– Post the form to NSDL Address below:

Income Tax PAN Services Unit, NSDL e-Governance Infrastructure Limited, 5th floor, Mantri Sterling, Plot No. 341, Survey No. 997/8, Model Colony, Near Deep Bungalow Chowk, Pune – 411016.

Step 10– Your application will reach NSDL within 15 days from the date of online application. You will get PAN card to your address after processing the application. OR call 02027218080 to check the status of your application.
